"I was going through old pictures and found this one taken of myself in front of Tail #949 back in 1970 at Offut AFB, Nebraska.

Who would have known back then I would become an FE on the C-141 for 13 years?"

He was the last CREW CHIEF on this tail number
949 was the aircraft that flew through a cloud of bats in Australia,
fodding all 4 engines 2 miles from the end of the runway. She got
4 new motors, a couple new leading edges, a co-pilot's windshield, and a
6 month vacation "down under".
