C-141 Places -- I've Been Everywhere
Darwin, Australia

This photo was sent in by Larry Reynolds, a retired FE. Here is a photo from Darwin Australia taken Dec. 30 1974. The town was hit by a cyclone and two C-141's, one each from 14th and 53rd MAS Norton AFB, Ca, were diverted from Sydney and hauled survivors to whereever they could be put up in Australia. We had 233 people sitting on the floor as we had no seats on board.

These three photos were sent in by Gary Widmer. At the time they were taken he was the youngest A/C in MAC, at 24 years old. He flew C-141s from 1969 thru 1973 and was stationed at Norton AFB, assigned to the 15th MAS and 53rd MAS.
