Structural problems were discovered in 642 and it was converted a "Loadmaster Training Device" at Altus AFB, along with another airframe, Tail# 66-0154. When it was not longer needed for loadmaster training 642 was donated to a local community college aviation maintenance program and towed from Altus AFB to the local muni airport.
