Mike's Photos

Here's a few of my favorite photos from my collection. They are in roughly the order taken, with a few exceptions from my college days..these are towards the end.

Roughly 1981 or 1982. After Mt St Helens blew we rented a plane and flew around the mountain for a nice set of views up close.
Candace was flying the plane, I was taking the photos.

These were taken in 2002 on our patio in the golf villa we lived in while our new house was being built.
It was a late afternoon and I just put the camera down near the ground and pointed it towards the sunset.

Mid-July 2004 presented some great opportunities for nice 'weather shots', as this series of photos taken over several days shows.

Behind our house there is a big canyon and in the canyon there's an abandoned dump truck. This is one of the wheels.

A flight to Seattle gave me a chance to get a nice shot of the Grand Canyon.

A crisp December early morning view.

This next series of photos was taken on 3/18/2005 at Tohono Chul Park,
just a few miles from where we live in Tucson.
They have lot's of desert plants and flowers to photograph.

The Santa Rita Mountains fire in early July 2005 looked like WWIII for a few days.

Pretty much the start of the summer lightning season.

When I was in college at the U of W, my roommate's brother was in Army ROTC.
They needed some idiots (my roommate and I were perfect for the job) to be 'agressors' for a weekend training session.
This is my Lee Harvey Oswald pose.

This shot was taken with a cell-phone camera over
western Washington in the early morning heading from Spokane to Seattle.
I had the phone on in flight and we did not crash.

Somebody blew up the ROTC building on the UW campus in 1969 (I think).

The 'pigs' on the UW campus following some student riots.

I think this was at Boeing Field in Seattle, about 1971 or 1972.
Not my car, not my skis,
but I looked pretty cool next to them.
